Information about MND and the Motor Neurone Disease Association....

We've had the delivery of the MNDA posters, balloons, magazine and information leaflets to display at our fair next week.

Below is an extract taken from one of the leaflets supplied by the MNDA with information about the disease and the work the MNDA carries out...

'MND leaves people unable to walk, talk or feed themselves. Motor neurone disease (MND) is a fatal disease that kills five people in the UK every day. Today there are 5,000 people living with MND in the UK.

MND can affect any adult at any age. It is a rapidly progressive neurological condition and around half of those diagnosed with MND die within 14 months. There is no effective treatment and no cure.

The MND Association is the only national charity in England, Wales and Northern Ireland that provides support for people affected by MND and funds and promotes research into the disease to bring about an end to MND.

We rely on voluntary donations.

Time is short for people with MND and there are many ways you can make a big difference by giving your time, your money and your voice to support our activities.

Our LOROS Charity Cards have arrived!

We uploaded our images taken from the original artwork by the late Olive Liggins nee Hargraves to moo.com and created seven different designs.

We were excited to see the final printed results and are happy to report that they look great and we can't wait to start selling them at the Christmas Fair in a few weeks time to raise funds for LOROS.

We're so happy with the results that we've also decided to start taking orders for more cards, so watch this space to be able to start placing your orders from our blog!

Well folks, we've had a great response and we have a fantastic list of exhibitors booked for our 2010 Christmas Fair!

Charity Cards to feature at fair....

Hello everyone!

Just to announce that we will now also be selling sets of charity greetings cards at the Christmas Fair...

The cards will feature artwork created by Olive Liggins nee Hargraves, our grandmother and mother-in-law, whom we started the Hargraves Art and Craft fairs in memory of.

All profits made from the sale of these cards will be donated to LOROS.
